Established more than 25 years ago, Altru Health Foundation has raised over $13 million through the support of caring individuals, foundations and organizations. These funds help to sustain the patient care programs and services at Altru Health System that save and improve the lives of thousands of North Dakota and Minnesota residents and visitors every year.
Did you know that community-owned hospitals provide 95 percent of all vital but often unprofitable health services? As Grand Forks' only community-owned hospital, Altru Health System reinvests all available revenues into programs, equipment, facilities and medical staff. We are governed by a local board of trustees who serve without pay and whose interests lie in placing patients before profits, and community needs before returns.
